Bigger eyes

What I'm googling:
"Make eyes look bigger"

Why?:
I want to find some tricks on how to make my eyes look bigger. I have pretty average sized eyes, but I want that dinner plate, doe eyed look.

What I found:
Well, if you're Asian, you can get eyelid surgery, but I'm not Asian, so that didn't help.

You could also try LED eyelashes, but that seems awfully expensive! And weird looking.

So then I found this site that said you could try large diameter contacts. So I looked around a little more and found this video

with some makeup tips. About.com has some times that include using white eyeshadow in the tear-duct corner of your eye, and if you put both of these things together, your eyes should look pretty big!
